Runs on fighting corruption: would ban members of Congress from trading stocks and send violators to jail, crack down on dark money in elections, strengthen ethics laws with real consequences, expand congressional oversight and investigatory authorities, and repeal Citizens United; notes he has not taken corporate PAC money.
“He'll push to ban members of Congress from trading stocks, crack down on dark money in our elections to ensure that the government works for the people, and strengthen ethics laws, with real consequences for abusers. Alex supports the expansion of congressional oversight and investigatory authorities to ensure that elected officials do not personally profit from the trust placed in them by their voters.”

Making life affordable is his top priority; supports building more affordable housing faster by cutting red tape that slows construction, policies to help first-time homebuyers enter the market, and taking on corporate investors who buy up homes as speculative assets and drive up prices; ties the homeowners insurance crisis to housing unaffordability.
“We need to build more affordable housing and it needs to be done faster and smarter. That's why Alex will work to cut red tape that slows construction and support policies that allow first-time homebuyers to break into the market. He will also take on corporate investors who view housing purely as a speculative asset and are buying up homes and driving up prices across the state.”
