Alonzo E. Turner-Bey is a Democratic candidate for the Democratic Central Committee in Legislative District 26. A passionate advocate and public servant, he brings his lived experience to the forefront of his campaign. Born in Southeast Washington, D.C., he attended schools in Prince George's County. After being incarcerated for over 31 years, a period he used for personal transformation, he has become a leading voice for reentry reform. Since his release in 2020, he was appointed Director of the Returning Citizens Affairs Division for Prince George's County, where he connects formerly incarcerated individuals with essential resources. His platform focuses on housing, criminal justice reform, education, and supporting veterans and seniors.
