Andrae Gonzales is a member of the Bakersfield City Council, representing Ward 2 since 2016. In 2023, he was elected to serve as the city's Vice Mayor. Professionally, he is the Executive Director of Stewards, a nonprofit organization assisting adults with mental disabilities in Kern County. Gonzales previously served as a trustee on the Bakersfield City School District Board of Education from 2010 to 2016. Born and raised in Bakersfield, he earned his bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley.
