Anndrea Young is a native of Ward 5, having attended local schools before earning a bachelor's degree in Communications Studies from Tennessee State University. She moved back to Minnesota in 2019. Her career experience includes working as an executive director for the Heritage Park Neighborhood Association and serving as the chair of the Highway Harms Policy Group for the Metropolitan Council. She has been involved in numerous community coalitions, including the Blue Line Coalition and Zero Burn Coalition.
