Anne Purcell is a retired school administrator with a lengthy career in Orange County Schools. She holds a Bachelor's degree in education and a Master's degree in middle school education from Elon College, as well as a Master's degree in school administration from N.C. State University. She was elected to the Board of Education in 2022 and was subsequently elected as Chair. Her civic experience includes involvement with the Kiwanis Club and the Delta Kappa Gamma Education Sorority.
