April Weaver

April Weaver, a Republican, currently serves as an Alabama State Senator, representing District 14. She assumed office in July 2021 and was re-elected in 2022 for her first full term. Prior to her Senate tenure, Weaver was a State Representative for District 49 from 2010 to 2020. She also held a role in the Trump Administration as the Region Four Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Her educational background includes an associate degree in nursing, a bachelor's in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama, and an MBA. Weaver's professional experience includes leadership positions at Shelby Baptist Medical Center and Brookwood Medical Center. She is running for re-election in the 2026 Alabama Primary Election.
