Ben Clapsaddle has been a resident of Wake Forest for over 20 years. He served for nearly 30 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel. He has experience leading Army, joint, and coalition forces, including in Operations Desert Shield/Storm and Enduring Freedom. Clapsaddle holds a bachelor's degree in political science from The Citadel, and master's degrees from Central Michigan University and the U.S. Army War College. Following his military career, he worked as a Project Manager for Booz Allen Hamilton and as a Senior Department of the Army Civilian. He was elected as a Town Commissioner in 2023.
