Christine Kushner

Christine Kushner is a long-time resident of Wake County with extensive experience in public service. She served on the Wake County Board of Education for 11 years, including terms as Chair and Vice Chair. A graduate of Fayetteville public schools, she earned a bachelor's degree from UNC Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar and a master's degree in public affairs from Princeton University. Her professional background includes work as a health care policy analyst, nonprofit administrator, and freelance writer. In 2023, she was appointed by Governor Roy Cooper to the Southern Regional Education Board. She currently serves on the Wake County Health and Human Services Board.
