Blake Clyde

Blake Clyde, a nonprofit development professional and community arts advocate, is running for Iowa House District 33. His career has focused on building programs and raising resources to help communities thrive, supporting kids' education, immigrants, and families. He believes public funds require discipline, transparency, and policies that ease pressure on families. Clyde advocates for expanding affordable housing, reforming the tax system for equitable wage growth, ensuring stable funding for public schools (not private school diversions), and increasing access to quality, affordable childcare and paid family leave. Originally from the Mississippi Delta, he is now rooted in Des Moines.
