Bob Archuleta is the incumbent representing the 30th District in the California State Senate, an office he has held since 2022. He previously represented the 32nd district from 2018 to 2022. Archuleta served in the United States Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. Following his military service, he attended the Rio Hondo College Police Academy and worked as a reserve police officer for the Montebello Police Department. He also served on the Pico Rivera City Council, including a tenure as mayor. In 2012, President Barack Obama appointed him to the Board of Visitors for the United States Military Academy at West Point. He is married with five children.
