Bob Chew is an engineer, businessman, and U.S. Navy veteran who served as an officer on a nuclear attack submarine during the Cold War. He earned a chemical engineering degree from Case Western Reserve University, spent five years on active duty in the Navy, and later served in the Navy Reserves as an intelligence officer with top-secret clearance. In 1996 he and his wife founded a company providing engineering and technical services to pharmaceutical and medical-device manufacturers; the employee-owned firm now has more than 700 employees and $150 million in revenue. A former McCain Republican who became disaffected with the Trump-era GOP, he moved to Boulder, Colorado, and is running as an independent/Forward Party candidate focused on fiscal responsibility, entitlement reform, and restoring the American Dream.
