Bobby Kemp is a lifelong resident of Rowan County who has previously worked in textiles and for Broyhill Furniture. In 2012, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, which eventually forced him to stop working. He has been a vocal advocate at commissioner meetings for seniors, veterans, and disabled residents facing challenges with rising tax costs. Kemp previously ran for the same office in 2024 as a write-in candidate. He has announced his intention to be on the ballot for the 2026 election.
