Brent Taylor is a Republican Tennessee State Senator for District 31, residing in Eads with his wife Kimberly and two children. He holds a mortuary science degree, having worked as a funeral director and CEO of Brentwood Funeral Services. His public service includes Memphis City Councilman, Chairman of the Shelby County Commission, and Election Commission. Elected to the State Senate in 2022, he is Vice-Chair of the Commerce and Labor Committee and 2nd Vice-Chair of the Transportation and Safety Committee. For the 2026 primary, he is campaigning for both State Senate re-election and the U.S. House, Tennessee's 9th Congressional District.
