I’m Bret Bartholomew, a sixth-generation Elk Grove resident, small business owner, and candidate for the Florin Resource Conservation District Board of Directors, which oversees the Elk Grove Water District. My roots in agriculture and experience in business and community service have shaped how I approach leadership: show up, do the homework, listen, ask questions, and make responsible decisions for the long term. I serve as Chair of the Cosumnes CSD Park Advisory Committee, Vice Chair of Elk Grove’s Measure E Citizens’ Oversight Committee, and a board member of the Sacramento Area Creeks Council. These roles have strengthened my commitment to public accountability, responsible budgeting, and protecting our local resources. Reliable water and strong infrastructure are fundamental to our homes, businesses, and public safety. I want to help ensure our water district plans responsibly, maintains dependable service, and carefully considers the impact of its decisions on ratepayers. There are three seats to be elected on November 3, and I would be honored to earn one of your votes. Deep Roots. Responsible Leadership. A Stronger Future.
