Bruce Cole is a financial executive and community leader running for South Carolina Comptroller General in the 2026 Democratic primary. He earned a Ph.D. from Clemson University, a bachelor's degree from Harvard University, and is a Certified Public Accountant in both South Carolina and New York. Cole is currently associated with the Richard T. Greener Institute for Social Policy Research. His community involvement includes serving on the Richland County Airport Commission, chairing the Sierra Club's South Carolina chapter, and leading the Electric Vehicle Association of South Carolina. He previously declared candidacy for South Carolina Treasurer in the same election cycle.
