Caleb Newman is a senior Assistant District Attorney in Rowan County, where he handles all levels of felony criminal charges. He was raised in the Yadkin Valley and moved to Charlotte in 2004 to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. His career in public service began as a Deputy Clerk of Superior Court in Mecklenburg County. After law school, he worked as a federal criminal defense attorney with the Federal Public Defender's Office in Charlotte. Newman has also served as an adjunct instructor at Central Piedmont Community College and a guest instructor for North Carolina's Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET). He resides in Huntersville with his fiancée.
