Kimberly DeLaney is not currently running for office on Civoren.
Kimberly DeLaney grew up in Johnson City, TN. She is a graduate of East Tennessee State University and Full Sail University. She moved to the Charlotte area in 2009. Her career includes creative work for Belk and working as a buyer in the marketing department for Adam and Eve corporate. She has been an entrepreneur for many years. In 2018, she started a new business and opened a CBD dispensary storefront in Concord. She partnered with local farmers and surrounding retailers to advocate for safeguards in the industry. In 2022, she became more involved within the community. Attending the Cabarrus Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Flywheel Coworking in downtown Concord, DeLaney won a grant in one of their accelerators, and was nominated to be in an MIT-led VMS Mentor Program where she began to develop a vision for tiny homes. Her business focus shifted after attending a Homelessness Taskforce Committee meeting, which inspired her to focus on helping the community with housing issues.
