Calvin Duncan is a candidate for Orleans Parish Clerk of Criminal District Court in New Orleans, Louisiana — 2025 General Election. Running as Democratic Party.

Calvin Duncan was wrongfully convicted of murder and spent over 28 years in prison before being exonerated. During his incarceration at Angola, he became a self-taught jailhouse lawyer, assisting hundreds of other incarcerated individuals with their legal cases. After his release in 2011, he earned a bachelor's degree in paralegal studies from Tulane University and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Lewis & Clark Law School. He is the director of The Light of Justice Program, which helps incarcerated people access the courts. His memoir, "The Jailhouse Lawyer," was released in 2025.
