Carissa Mattern

Carissa Mattern is a candidate for the Democratic Central Committee in Harford County, Maryland. With a Master of Arts in Public Management from Johns Hopkins University, her career includes serving as Chief of Staff to Maryland State Senator Mary Washington and Legislative Director to Baltimore City Councilwoman Odette Ramos. Recognized by the Southern Poverty Law Center for her anti-racism work and by the Baltimore City Council for her public service, Mattern is a dedicated public servant. Her platform advocates for LGBTQIA rights, community-oriented policing, the preservation of Maryland's natural lands, and universal healthcare.
