Carlos Dammeier

Dieter Carlos Dammeier is a State Administrative Law Judge for the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, where he has heard and issued decisions in over 1,000 appeals. He began his career in public service in law enforcement as a dispatcher, jailer, and police officer. After graduating from Western State University College of Law in 1996, he worked as an employment law attorney for over 20 years, founding and managing a large employee representation law firm. He has argued cases before the California Supreme Court and the United States Supreme Court. Dammeier has also served as a volunteer Judge Pro Tem in Superior Court and as a volunteer fee dispute arbitrator for the State Bar of California. He previously ran for seats on the San Bernardino County Superior Court in 2016 and 2024.
