Catherine Barcel "barcy" Whitson

Catherine Barcel 'Barcy' Whitson is an Independent candidate for the U.S. Senate in Tennessee, on the ballot for the November 3, 2026 general election for the 2027–2033 term. She has lived most of her life in Tennessee and resides in the East Brainerd area of Chattanooga with her husband, Randy. After a 30-year career in the insurance industry, she has spent 20+ years volunteering as a pastor, prayer minister, life coach, and mentor. She holds a BFA in Dance and PE with a minor in Science. She is running as an Independent because she has always voted for whom she felt best represents all citizens regardless of party; her focus is 'What Tennesseans Want' (W.T.W.).
