I am James W. Macon III, an Independent candidate for the United States Senate seeking to represent the people of Tennessee on November 3, 2026. I am not a career politician. I am a husband, father, business leader, community servant, and problem-solver who has spent more than two decades leading complex organizations, managing billion-dollar budgets, delivering measurable results, and bringing people together to solve difficult challenges. My professional background spans procurement, finance, supply chain management, operations, media, and organizational leadership with companies including Stryker, Medtronic, Wright Medical, Williams-Sonoma, CNN, and CBS News. I entered this race because I believe Tennessee deserves an independent voice focused on results rather than partisan politics. Our nation faces serious challenges: a growing national debt, rising costs of living, concerns about government accountability, declining public trust, educational shortcomings, healthcare affordability issues, infrastructure needs, and economic uncertainty. Too often, these problems are treated as political talking points instead of priorities requiring real solutions. My campaign is focused on restoring accountability, strengthening oversight and checks and balances, improving education and healthcare outcomes, supporting economic growth, protecting homeownership, strengthening agriculture, reducing poverty, and putting our nation on a path toward long-term fiscal responsibility. Unlike many campaigns, I have emphasized independence from traditional political fundraising and special-interest influence, therefore I do not accept contributions or donations from anyone. I believe elected officials should spend more time listening to citizens than dialing for dollars. My commitment is simple: represent Tennessee with integrity, follow the facts wherever they lead, work with anyone who has a good idea regardless of party, and put the interests of Tennesseans above political labels. This campaign is not about left versus right. It is about accountability versus dysfunction, solutions versus excuses, and service versus self-interest. I am running because I believe Tennessee and America can do better, and because I am willing to do the work required to help move our state and nation forward.
