Catherine Miranda, born October 5, 1964, in Phoenix, Arizona, is an incumbent Arizona State Senator for District 11, serving since 2023. A Democrat, she previously served in both the Arizona House of Representatives (2011-2015) and Senate (2015-2019). Miranda is a product of District 11's diversity, having grown up in the community her entire life. She earned a teaching degree from Arizona State University and a master's in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University, and has experience from kindergarten student to school administrator. Running for re-election in 2026, she advocates for homelessness, the severely mentally ill, quality education, and job creation initiatives.
