Charles T. Horner, Sr. is a Republican candidate for the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Somerset County, Maryland, a position he has held since 2014. Born in Maryland in 1960, Horner graduated from Washington High School and the Maryland State Police Academy. He served for twenty-seven years in the Maryland State Police, retiring as a sergeant in the Criminal Intelligence Section, and also worked on a Federal Bureau of Investigation Task Force. A dedicated public servant and community leader, Horner is a charter member of the Mt. Vernon Volunteer Fire Company and the local Lions Club. He is married and has two children.
