She has served in leadership roles for various local civic organizations and has a platform focused on strengthening public education by keeping public dollars in public schools, expanding healthcare access as a human right, and raising the minimum wage to a living wage. Gilmore also champions the protection of reproductive healthcare access and civil rights for marginalized communities, including religious minorities and the LGBTQ2S community, while advocating for competitive wages and benefits for teachers.
