Cheryl Turner is a civil and consumer rights trial lawyer who has managed her own legal practice for over 20 years, focusing on civil rights, consumer rights, business, tax, real estate, and transportation law. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Psychology and her Juris Doctor degrees from the University of Southern California (USC). While at USC, she was the President of the Black Law Student Association and worked as a Judicial Extern Law Clerk for a Judge of the United States District Court. Turner has served on several boards and commissions, including an appointment by the Governor to the Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians and an appointment by the Mayor of Los Angeles to the Los Angeles Convention and Exhibition Center Authority, where she served as Vice-President. She is also the President of the board of directors for the Apartment Association of Greater Los Angeles.
