Anthony W. "Chip" Bertino Jr. is a Republican Worcester County Commissioner for District 5 in Maryland. First elected in 2014, he served as president of the Board of County Commissioners from 2022 to 2024. Outside of politics, Bertino has been the publisher and editor of The Courier since 2000. He serves on the Wor-Wic Community College Board of Trustees and the Maryland Association of Counties Board of Directors. A community leader, he is a past president of the Ocean Pines Chamber of Commerce and co-authored "My Time, My Service," honoring local veterans. Bertino and his wife, Susan, have three children.
