Chris Kluwe is a Democratic candidate for California State Assembly District 72 in 2026. A former professional football punter who played primarily for the Minnesota Vikings, Kluwe is also a writer, football coach, and social activist. He has been a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, affordable housing, public education, and environmental protection. He grew up in Seal Beach, played college football at UCLA, and currently resides in Huntington Beach, California.
