Christopher M. Ward is an American politician serving as a member of the California State Assembly for the 78th district since 2020. A Democrat, he previously served on the San Diego City Council representing the 3rd district from 2016 to 2020. Ward holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Master in Public Policy and Urban Planning from the Harvard Kennedy School. He has focused his legislative efforts on housing, homelessness, climate, and water supply issues.
