Christian Martin, a Northport, Alabama native, is running as a Democrat for Alabama House of Representatives District 16 in the 2026 election. He graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 2022 and is currently a senior history major at the University of Alabama, where he is active as the community service chair of Sigma Phi Mu and Vice President of the University of Alabama College Democrats. Martin's career experience includes work as an activist; he also instructs merit badges for Boy Scouts and works at Jersey Mike's. A key policy position he supports is congressional term limits, having signed a pledge to advocate for an Article V convention for this purpose. He advanced to the general election on November 3, 2026, after the Democratic primary was canceled.
