Claire Kempner is a stay-at-home mother of three who resides in Pitt County with her husband, Greg. She has been an active volunteer for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, serving as the State and Regional Data Chair. Her volunteer work also includes contributions to the Humane Society, the United Way, and a maternity home for unhoused women and their children. Additionally, Kempner has held the position of Secretary of the Pitt County Democratic Party. She ran for the North Carolina House of Representatives District 9 seat in the 2024 general election and was defeated.
