Clara Pratte

Clara Pratte is a nationally recognized energy leader, entrepreneur and Arizona-born member of the Navajo Nation running for the Arizona Corporation Commission to fight for affordable utility bills, protect Arizona’s water, and limit data centers. Growing up on the Navajo Nation without electricity or running water at her home, she understands firsthand how essential reliable and affordable utilities are to everyday life.

For more than 20 years, Clara has built a career in public service, economic development, and energy innovation. She has worked under three U.S. presidents and four Navajo Nation presidents, helping lead initiatives in tribal affairs and economic development in the U.S. Small Business Administration and U.S. Department of Commerce. She later co-founded Navajo Power, a public-benefit company developing large-scale energy projects on tribal lands, and is now a Flagstaff small business owner.

Clara believes the Corporation Commission should be an independent watchdog that puts Arizona families ahead of powerful utility interests. Her campaign is focused on lowering utility costs, protecting Arizona’s limited water resources, and ensuring data centers and other large corporate energy users do not shift infrastructure costs onto everyday ratepayers. She is committed to bringing accountability, practical energy expertise, and a consumer-first approach to the Commission.
