Clyde Welford is a Democratic candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives in Michigan's 2nd Congressional District. He currently serves as a Lake County Commissioner, representing District 7, after first being elected in 2022. A retired educator, Welford spent 35 years as a teacher, including 29 years with Baldwin Community Schools. He earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University, as well as a master's degree from Ferris State University.
