Consuelo Hernandez, born April 23, 1992, is an incumbent Democratic Arizona State Representative for District 21, first elected in 2022. She is running for re-election in the 2026 Democratic primary. Hernandez also serves as president of the Sunnyside USD 12 School Board. A Pima County native, she earned a bachelor's from Arizona State University and a master's from the University of Arizona. Her professional background includes roles as an immigration caseworker and campaign organizer. She is of Mexican-Jewish descent, attending Congregation Chaverim in Tucson. Her legislative work includes focusing on chronic felony offenders and juveniles.
