Corinna Contreras is a Vista City Councilmember representing District 1, first elected in 2018. She is the first Latina and openly LGBTQ+ member to serve on the council. Outside of her city council duties, Contreras works as a policy advisor for the Climate Action Campaign and serves on the board of the North County LGBTQ Resource Center. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is running as a Democratic candidate for California's 48th Congressional District.
