Courtney Watson is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, representing District 9B since assuming office on January 9, 2019. Her public service career began on the Howard County Board of Education, where she served from 2002 to 2006. Following this, she was elected to the Howard County Council, holding a seat from 2006 until 2014. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Watson is an alumna of Loyola University Maryland, where she earned both a bachelor's degree in business and a Master of Business Administration. In the House of Delegates, Watson has served on the Appropriations Committee and as a Deputy Majority Whip. She also serves as the House Chair of the Joint Committee on the Management of Public Funds.
