Dan Rooney

Dan Rooney, a Republican, is a decorated F-16 fighter pilot and a PGA golf professional, having served three combat tours in Iraq and commissioned into the Oklahoma Air National Guard. He is the founder and CEO of Folds of Honor, a prominent charity providing scholarships to military and first responder families. Rooney initially entered the race for Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District in the 2026 Republican primary, advocating for a strong national defense, fully funded veterans' care, and reduced wasteful spending. However, he later withdrew from the congressional race, despite some sources still listing him on the primary ballot.
