Darwin Ernst has been a resident of Hamilton since 1987. He graduated from Concordia College in Chicago with a degree in pre-med. After graduating, he worked at Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) for nine years researching Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy. He later transitioned to a career in real estate, becoming a certified residential real estate appraiser and a licensed real estate broker. He has served on the Hamilton City Council for Ward 3 since 2022. His professional experience includes over 20 years as a real estate appraiser in the Bitterroot Valley. He also serves on several boards, including the Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Ravalli County Tax Appeal Board.
