David Barbour

David Barbour has a background in both the computer manufacturing industry and education. He worked for 23 years in the technical and quality fields with Data General Corporation and seven years with Ericsson Mobile phones in Research Development and Quality. He later began a career in education, teaching Computer Engineering and Technology at Smithfield Middle School and West Johnston High School for 5 years. He has also worked as a Career and Technical Education Consultant for the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. Barbour holds an associate degree in Electronic Engineering Technology from Johnston Community College, a Bachelor's degree in Business from Barton College, a Master's degree in Industrial Technology from East Carolina University, and a Doctorate in Educational Technology Management from North Central University.
