David Brock Smith is a third-generation resident and small businessman from Southwest Oregon. The son of Frank and Bonnie (Hodge) Smith, he grew up in a family rooted in Port Orford and worked in the family restaurant, the Port & Starboard. He later took over the family business from his parents and has served in leadership roles including Chamber of Commerce, School Board, City Council, County Commission, State Representative, and State Senator. He is running for U.S. Senate to bring common sense, accountability, and a strong rural voice to the federal level.
