Gary Lyndon Dye

Gary Lyndon Dye is a Libertarian candidate for the U.S. Senate from Oregon. He was born in Portland, Oregon, and describes himself as an engineering consultant. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University (1981), an MBA from Pepperdine University (1989), and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Physics from the University of California, Irvine (1991). He has worked as a chemical engineer and measurement engineer in the natural gas industry — including roles at Shell Oil Co, Saudi Aramco, NW Natural, and Baker Petrolite — and previously as a process engineer in oil refineries. He is a libertarian who advocates for the Non-Aggression Principle, withdrawing U.S. troops from foreign countries, replacing the federal tax system with a uniform transaction tax, and balancing the budget without raising taxes.
