David Cohen is a candidate for California State Senate District 10 in 2026. He has served on the San Jose City Council representing District 4 since 2021. Prior to his election to the city council, Cohen spent 14 years as an elected member of the Berryessa Union School District board from 2006 to 2020. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley. Professionally, he worked as an engineer and senior manager at Lam Research for 21 years.
