David Miller is a Brunswick County native who was born at Dosher Hospital and attended South Brunswick High School. He is the founder and vice president of Coastal Cremations Inc., which has three locations in the region. Miller is also a retired lieutenant from the Southport Fire Department, where he was involved in fundraising activities. In September 2024, he was named as a new board member for the Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation. He previously ran for the Southport Board of Alderman for Ward 1 in 2019.
