David Moon is an American lawyer and Democratic politician serving in the Maryland House of Delegates for District 20 in Montgomery County. First elected in 2014, he assumed office on January 14, 2015. In 2023, he was selected to serve as the House Majority Leader. Born in Takoma Park, Maryland, to Korean immigrants, Moon earned a degree from Tufts University and a law degree from the American University Washington College of Law. His legislative priorities have consistently included criminal justice reform, election reform, and the defense of constitutional rights. Prior to his political career, Moon worked for activist groups, managed campaigns, and founded the Maryland Juice politics blog.
