David Post has served on the Salisbury City Council since 2015. A Salisbury native, he is a CPA and an attorney. He previously worked for U.S. Senator Terry Sanford in Washington, D.C. before returning to Salisbury to create a specialty pharmacy. In 2019, he purchased and renovated several downtown buildings, creating 'Caterpillars,' an incubator for small businesses. He is an active volunteer with numerous organizations, including the Salisbury Rotary Club, Meals on Wheels, and the Rowan County United Way, and received the 2024 Governor's Medallion Award for his volunteer service.
