David Silverberg is a veteran journalist and the founder of The Paradise Progressive, a political news site focused on Southwest Florida. Before moving to Florida permanently in 2014, he worked in Washington, D.C., as the founding editor of Homeland Security Today and the managing editor of The Hill. He also served as the communications director for a 2018 congressional campaign. Silverberg is running as a Democratic candidate for the Florida State Senate representing District 28.
