Dawn Hickey Morgan

Dawn Morgan grew up in Hampton, Virginia. She attended Wake Forest University School of Law, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a JD degree. After clerking for a year, she worked at a law firm in Winston-Salem before moving to Kernersville in 1994. She was appointed to the Kernersville planning board in 1997. She was later appointed to fill a vacant mayoral term, becoming the first female mayor of Kernersville, and has since been re-elected six times.
