Debra Davis is a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates, where she represents Legislative District 28. She was first elected to the position and assumed office on January 9, 2019. Her career in public service includes extensive experience at the local level, having served as a member of the Charles County Board of Commissioners for eight years, from 2010 to 2018. Born in Cheverly, Maryland, Davis pursued higher education at the University of Maryland, College Park, earning a Bachelor of Science in criminology. She later obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Her legal career began after she was admitted to the Maryland Bar in 1995 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1996.
