Dennis Anthony

Dennis Anthony has been active in Drexel's local government for eight years. He was first elected as an alderman in 2014 and has served as the town's mayor since April 2022. Concurrently, he has worked as the head custodian at Heritage Middle School. Prior to his current role, he worked in custodial staff at other local schools. He also has over twenty years of experience as a referee for basketball, baseball, and softball for Burke County and Morganton recreational organizations, a role he feels helped him develop strong people skills.
