Diane Desotelle is a civil engineer, land use planner, and educator who has lived in District 2 for nearly 30 years. She served as the City of Duluth's first Natural Resources Coordinator, where she was instrumental in preserving open spaces and worked on the St. Louis River restoration project. Desotelle has also owned a small business and worked as a licensed teacher. She has been a member of three unions: MAPE, DFT, and AFSCME. She and her husband have raised two children who graduated from Duluth Public Schools.
